What is DomainDock?
DomainDock gives your projects clean, memorable web addresses with HTTPS, without ever touching DNS records, certificates, or proxy configuration by hand.
Point an address like myapp.digitalweb.host at a server you run, switch on SSL, and DomainDock wires up everything needed to serve it securely on the internet.
Core concepts
DomainDock is built around two simple ideas:
- Projects: a container that groups related domains together, for example one project per app or per environment. Each account can hold up to 10 projects.
- Domains: a single address (like
api.digitalweb.host) that forwards visitors to one of your servers. You choose the address, the target server, and whether it's served over HTTPS.
What DomainDock handles for you
As soon as you add a domain, DomainDock automatically:
- Publishes the address so it resolves worldwide.
- Routes incoming traffic to the server you specified.
- Issues and renews an HTTPS certificate when SSL is enabled.
You never edit a DNS zone, run a certificate command, or restart anything, it all happens in the background, usually within a minute.
